stress/depression

I am super stressed these days and it has not helped with my weight loss. I really don´t know why I am stressed, well it could be finance, school, weight loss, isolation, life etc. I have been feeling kind of isolated for a while now too. I have not had any time to spend with friends or family. And the times I try to reach out to friends they are busy with their lives (which I totally understand), but it can be a lot disheartening trying to reach out and they never have time to chat and constantly forget to call back. I am just being a bit dramatic I think, but I really should try to befriend more people (I am more the few good friends kind gal) but maybe having more people in my social ring would be good, I am just such a wuss and meeting new people scares the shit out of me.
Sorry bout this rant just really needed to vent, although my friend it Norway did wonders for my mood today I so miss having her here where I could just go over and spend time doing silly things.

  1. My friend Hollee and I have recently discovered the added benefits of exercise and how it helps battle our depression... just a thought:) Since I don't know what your current program is.

  2. Awe Girl Im sorry. And I completly get the whole meeting new friends scares you... same here. I hide in the corner anytime I go anywhere and pray no one speaks to me.. how aweful is that.. I am here anytime you want to chat girl. and I agree with the above comment. Excerise has helped me more MENTALLY than it ever has physically. Its such a wonderful outlet.

  3. Exercise is the only thing getting me through my stress/depression right now. Not even the anti-depressants can do what a good workout can. I hope that you find your own outlet soon and begin to feel better. I think January is just a plain hard time of year too. Try to get some sun for the Vitamin D :)

    1. thanks Hollee, wish I could get some vit D from the sun but she rarely shows her face round here these days, so I started taking it in drops instead :) really hoping to skip meds if I can, havent used them since 2005

  4. ugh - I totally get the stress thing I'm with you there! Hang in there! try to carve out a little time for yourself! if you don't take care of yourself you won't be able to maintain this pace..

  5. I always wonder too - in the north (as I have family that lives in the Yukon) if the dark long winter effects you? Do youthink that the end of winter might be part of it - so many months of ng darlness? :)

    1. Yes it does affect me, it hasnt been this bad for a few years, I am better today so I think it is a combination of a lot of things.
