take a break or not to...

I am very undecided about whether or not I should take a real break from blogging or if I should stick to it. I am waiting for my surgeon to be here again for another fill. I have had a war going on in my head since Christmas, I am basically and addict and I am trying to get back on the straight and narrow but it is hard, and I sometimes feel like if I don't have anything positive to report I shouldn't bother blogging but I know that isnt right, I really should blog just for me not focusing so much on whether it is a good/fun blog or not (still stuck in the weirdo momentum of what other people think about me). I also decided to skip buying candy this Saturday (Iceland has this strong tradition of gorging on candy on Saturdays and the addict I am have a hard time on those days) but I was craving something so I baked me some oatmeal-coconut-chocolate cookie (I used about half less sugar than the recipe said and also about half the chocolate chips) it´s not sugary sweet but it did kill the craving and I think it was a bit healthier than candy.

I went out for a small walk on Saturday (my hip didn't like it, guess its not recovered from the sprain in January) and I only managed 1,75 km or 1,1 miles. Then today I had to take my car to the shop for a repaint (they didnt do that good of a job on my bumpers last year (damage was not my fault lol)) I had to walk home, well I could have called a taxi or something but I wanted to walk home and I totaled 1,53 km or  0,95 miles and today my hip didn't complain all that much, but I can tell you that Converse aren't the best choice of foot ware to walk in hahaha

  2. I tried taking a blog break, but I just couldn't stay away! ha... I'm addicted to food AND blogging! I feel the same way, I hate posting negative stuff. I know you guys don't want to read it, and it gets old to hear sad sad sad and more sad. But this blog is for me. So I cam back and I try to mix it up a little bit. Sometimes when the posts are just TOO negative or TOO personal, I write them and let them stay DRAFT. It still helps!

    I hope things start to look up! I know hunger is a beast, but I'm glad you're doing all you can walking.

    1. that is a great idea (just keeping the bad ones as drafts) cause I need to vent and I often feel like no one understands me here (at home).

  3. Thats a great idea - the draft ones - I'e done that too - and I have penty of negative posts - I kind of look at them like they are weigh-ins. Not all the weigh-ins are going to be a loss, but I still like to record them all.
    Candy/Sugar... its hell. I wish that I had something awesome oshare with you - but I ate three cookies this morning, so I'm not a help.
    However, I will be in Iceland for 10 days in June! I'm very excited for my second trip to see your amazing country!! :)

    2. lets see.... we are staying mostly in Reykjavik, but I want to head to Vik again and up to Fjallsárlón for the glacia boatsing. Last time I was in Iceland I was too heavy to go on the riding adventures, so I'm going to do that...maybe even twice! :) So excited that I have lost enough weight to do that!!
      I didn't go o any museums last time, so we will do some of those. My husband wants to do a brewery tour, and there is a day long Icelandic cooking class he wants to try.
      We have an apartment for the time, so I can't wat to sit and drink coffee in the mornings, and eat late at night watching the sun circle around!! We will likely do a whale watching trip as well. We have not yet got all the detials planned out.

    3. yay sounds so exciting. Jökulsárlón is awesome, I went on a ride there when I was a kid, I´m planning on taking a friend there in september when he comes for a visit. Well hopefully your not taking a old traditional food course hahah cause a lot of the foods here are disgusting like now the month of Þorri is upon us and that is a month when we gorge on ancient type of foods like slátur(kinda like haggis), fermented shark (have some in my fridge but dont eat it myself), pickled ram testicles and pickled ram penises (those sold out in record time), and so on ugh so happy I was not born like 100 years earlier, just for kicks I recommend you watch this(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vcz17ignthc). If you need any info or something your welcome to ask, I live in Reykjavík but have travelled almost everywhere only missing a tiny bit of the ring road.
