stomach problems

Since my fill on Dec 18th. I have been having some discomfort mostly near my port area. But the last few days I have begun to feel discomfort near my ribcage on the left side. So of course the first scary idea popped into my head that it was a erosion thing. But I am trying not thinking that any more, but I am still not liking this. I have no problems with eating or any pain/discomfort when it comes to that. It is more when I am relaxing I start feeling it, I for instance can not really lie down on my left side cause it feels uncomfortable. I am so going to send a line to my doctor after finishing this blog.

toodles, gotta go to work in a lil while and try not to go insane with what could be the problem. I am shit scared that it could be erosion cause that is my greatest fear. But from what I've read it does not happen so shortly after surgery.

  1. I bet you are feeling restriction. When I first felt it I felt a little pain where the band is and that weird shoulder pain again. I think it is different for everyone. Try not to worry, but do check with your Doc to put your mind at ease.

  2. Absolutely check with the Doc, but as Tina said, it's probably just the newness of the adjustment settling in for you. I imagine it's just the increased pressure around your stomach, but obviously check with your Doc to make sure nothing is wrong.

  3. I had what my doctor called a ridge around my port. It was above my port and on my left side by my ribs. It hurt if there was any pressure on it, from jeans to laying on it. I told the doctor about it and he told me it would take about 6-8 weeks to go away and that was at my second fill last month. So for me it too about 2.5 months to resolve itself. I would ask your doctor so he is aware but I am sure things are ok. I could even see the buldge and feel it through my skin. It did go away. He described it as like an inflamation. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
