one crazy mom on the loose

oh I am seething mad today.

Went for a walk with my bf and the kid. Was wondering why on earth he was wearing his old sneakers. Well someone stole his new ones at school. That is not why I am mad. No I am furious because he went and told his teacher that his shoes were missing. The teacher went round the school with him trying to see if they had just been moved. But when they saw that they were nowhere to be found the teacher just left him. So my kid had to walk home in the rain, and it is fall here which means the heat has been 0-5°C or 32-41°F, and that is without the wind factoring in.

So I am going to rip the school a new one tomorrow. Why on earth did the teacher not let him call us to come pick him up or bring a change of shoes? That pisses me off.

Food wise has not been all that good from Thursday till today, TOM is coming for a visit and seems to be bringing carbohydrate longing with vengeance. I want all sorts of unhealthy stuff today :(

  2. yup he walked home in just his socks, because he did not know what to do after the teacher left him. And it is really cold here + rain and don't even get me talking about broken glass that is sometimes on the sidewalks ARG so mad right now

  3. I would be furious too! When I was a kid someone took my brand new shoes from a gym locker room and left their new but too small for me exact matching shoes behind. I walked home (not very far) in my socks.

  4. I would be so upset! how old is your son? I agree that they could have called you to come get him. Bad enough that he had to spend the school day in socks. Seek to understand, then let 'em have it!

    1. He is 11 years old. They have to take their shoes off while at school. We can not send them to school with cell phones, if I could then he would have called me. He just didn't know what to do when the teacher left. We only live 0.25 miles away but in socks and raining in that cold is just not OK. Hopefully I´ll keep my wits together till I call them, poor woman that answers that phone.

  5. I would lose it on the teacher. Our kids have to remove their shoes too but they have 'indoor shoes' that they put on when they get to school - those are the ones that usually get stolen. Doesn't the school have an office that could have called you? Im so mad for you. Im mad that they took his shoes and Im mad that the adults did nothing about it.

  6. I would be peeved at the teacher too. She should have called or at least asked if he walks. Yikes. Not good.

And stay away from those carbs girlie!! I know it is hard... but if you can stick to a low carb diet before surgery... it will help shrink you liver. Makes the surgery safer for you. Stay away from white: bread, rice, potato, yogurt, milk etc. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery!!!
