in pain
I was so afraid of this. I have to sit for hours while studying for my final, and now my back has caved on me. I am in such pain, not really surprised since my bag was about 20 pounds today. I did a big band no no and took one Voltaren Rapid (diclofenak) which is a anti inflammatory medicine and I know we are supposed to stay clear of them but I had no choice. No I am trying my hardest to not take any more but shit this is not nice and I still gotta go to school tomorrow to keep studying :( I am wondering if I should email my doctor and see if it is OK for me to take them regularly for a few days now just to make my exam time and life a bit more bearable.

call your doctor. I'm on celebrex (an anti-inflammatory) every day and my band dr is fine with that. I know others say absolutely not, but let your dr be the one to make that decision. I do hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I sent him an email as he is in England. He said it was OK for me to take ibuprofen or other NSAID drugs but not in tablet form so I am going to crush some and see if I cant take them that way, because we don't have liquid sorts of them here and I really don't fancy suppositories haha.
DeleteI'm glad you heard from him. Yeah, my celebres is a capsule that will disintegrate quickly and not a tablet. I know here in the states we have liquid forms of meds for kids and it's hard to find liquids for adults. I have some liquid ibuprofin in the kids version, just at a higher dose. Not sure if you would have those or not. I understand about the suppositories.
ReplyDeleteyeah we don't have liquid form of anything other than paracetamol (acetaminophen). But I just crushed some Ibuprofen and it is working but man I am telling you it was nasty as "beep". But I am sure going to do this rather than be in pain just before my exam.
DeleteI got an NSAID in a cream for my knee pain. It's rocks, but is exp. I have to pay$40 copay instead of $10 for the same drug in a pill.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better !!!
